Writing

After shared writing with Miss R, we joined Mrs Waldron at the working table to write our own stories.  We thought of a story idea and drew a picture for our own story.  We used the new fast words that Miss R shared with us today.  Here are some examples of our written work today, and tomorrow we will publish our stories.  Pink stands for 'tickled pink' and green means 'green for growth'.  When we are writing we use our word and alphabet cards to help us form letters and commonly used words correctly.  Keep up the great work everyone and remember to practise your fast words and letters at home.

Say macaroni and cheese!

For phonics today we are learning about the letter M, how to form it correctly, and what sound it makes.  We made some macaroni necklaces which also helped us to improve our hand eye coordination.  Some of our boys weren't too keen to wear necklaces so they made some for their Mums.  What a nice thing to do.

R for rocket

Today in phonics we learned about the letter R.  We made rockets by cutting different coloured shapes.  We also learned how to form the letter R correctly.  Here are our rockets...
